This zone is a wide-open natural grassland roamed by large herds of various herbivores, plus the occasional dinosaur or monster. Tribes of Shadarian humans also hunt the herds and can prove quite dangerous and easily offended. The tribes' customs, hunting grounds, etc. are difficult for outsiders to understand, but they seem to dislike their fellow-Shadarians who are under the sovereignty of the town of Shadar more than anyone. Robbing caravans is considered great sport to them.

There are no permanent settlements, ruins or other such things, apart from the three way-stations along the caravan road.
