Synopsis

  • Elysium was held at Bacchus.
  • Local authorities and Federal investigators have converged on the headquarters of the New Life Church located at the law office of Kris Ryder, but no conspiracy has been found. Further investigations of the church membership are planned, but already counter charges of religious persecution have sprung up partially foiling efforts to expand the investigation.
  • Frogg, Primogen Murdock's personal assistant arrives tells the assembled kindred that Murdock is dead in his Thomasville hangar.
  • Prince Whitehorse orders that the hanger be immediately secured by Brujah and Malkavian groups.
  • The Prince asks the Tremere in general, and Emile in particular, to make arrangements for thaumaturgical lie detection services.
  • Byron considered a prime suspect in the slaying , and is staked by Q.
  • Aaron is ordered by Q to go to the Anarchs, but is later recalled to secure the hangar. He takes with him Jimmy C, and Jasper the Bastard to help him out.
  • Jack Strayer also helps Aaron's efforts to keep any non-essential kindred from entering Murdock's hangar.
  • The Prince arrives with Q and Emile and sees what is left of Murdock. His ash silhouette shows little signs of a struggle. It appears that he was staked from behind and then his head was cut off with a knife.
  • A note from Constance is found discarded by the body.
  • The Prince determines that both the stake and the knife belong to Craxus.
  • Prince Whitehorse questions Constanceabout the note, and she is found innocent.
  • The Prince visits Murdock's surprisingly orderly personal sleeping chamber, and takes one of his flying trinkets - a zeppelin.
  • Emile contacts Craxus and meets him in front of Bacchus to ask a few questions. Craxus drives off.
  • Emile enters Murdock's hangar, and manages to view into the past. There he sees some of Murdock's last moments including when he walked to the door of the hangar saying “What brings you here so close to dawn, your grace”.
  • Emile leaves the hangar with a large, leather bound tome and signals Aaron to act on Prince Whitehorse's orders.
  • Aaron and the Brujah squad light the hangar on fire and burn it to the ground.
  • Q calls Craxus and meets him at the ballpark as the game is winding down. She asks him some questions, but leaves with still more.
  • Q sends Aaron to watch Craxus, but Aaron loses him when Craxus goes feral in the wilderness.
  • Prince Whitehorse and Q visit the Giovanni to ask to retrieve Murdock's spirit. They speak with Serina who takes them to Natalie Volpe, Vito's second in command. A deal is made and Prince Whitehorse hands over the zeppelin to summon Murdock.
  • Byron is questioned, but there is absolutely no evidence that he killed Murdock or stole Craxus' items despite clear motives.
  • The Prince questions Frogg again, but finds the assistant to be completely guiltless.
  • Serina arrives with Murdock's spirit, tethered to the zeppelin.
  • The assembled kindred learn that G.R. Whitehorse was indirectly responsible for Primogen Murdock's final death.
  • Prince Whitehorse has decided to accept a new position within the Camarilla, so Q is the new Prince of York. She sets up her new Praxis.
  • Constance is the new Seneschal and Emile is made the Harpy.
  • Jack Strayer is made the Keeper of Elysium now that Mikhail has departed as well.
  • Craxus is named the Sheriff for the time being.
