This smithy has been in the city for centuries, whether it began under Gnomish control is unknown, but for the last 100 years or so there's ample evidence that Gnomes have been running the place. Outside of the core owner-operators: Knobulous Hammar, Knobulous Ace, and Bertram McNasty, they hire any high-skill smiths they can, with upwards of a dozen, plus a like number of apprentices, working at once. They have a production line employing half the workers constantly making chain and plate armor for bulk orders, but the other half of the crew makes hand weapons of all sorts.
This is the place to buy MASTERWORK WEAPONRY in the city. They also will eagerly buy magic weaponry and any magic items or lore book that aids in smith-craft. They possess an enchanters furnace, located in a secret room 39 feet below ground level and they do produce magic weaponry. They can make, on commission, +1 swords or +1 shortswords for 3000gp, half of which must be paid up front. It will take 10 weeks to complete the enchantment. There is a 5% chance that they will have a magic weapon for sale in the shop.
