Character Generation
Follow the steps below to create a player character.
- Roll ability scores
- Roll all six stats in order (STR,CON,DEX,INT,WIS,CHA) six times
- Choose a character from those six sets of rolls
- The GMs get the other five for NPCs
- Choose a heritage
- I tried to leave out Spaniards and Italians, but it just didn't feel complete without them, we may consider rolling the Danes, Norwegians and Icelanders (Swedes too) as a single Northman background
- I was hoping we could keep it around eight backgrounds. I'm having trouble coming up with interesting fantasy tropes that relate to each heritage. For example, I totally took cues from Shakespeare with respect to the Danish people.
- STR = Scots, CON = English& Norwegian, DEX = Welsh, INT = Danes, Frankish, WIS = Irish, Italians, CHA = Spanish =⇒ At this point, why not add one more for an even dozen so the six attributes are represented by two heritages? Byzantine? Turkish?
- Generate your character's backstory
- Pick a class
- NOTE character's Languages
- Pick equipment
- Decide on supply carried
- Determine total load
- Pick spells (if applicable)
- Fill out character sheet
