Norwegian or Icelander
The frozen north is the home of great sailors and iron men. The Earldom of Vinland in the New World is home to many Norwegians and Icelanders, but more arrive every year from Norway itself. Being of hardy stock, the Norwegians start with +2 CON.
Primary Language: Norse. Secondary Language: English.
There is a degree of hostility between Norwegians and the Scots and Irish due to several centuries of violence, but there are also times when these groups have made alliances against the English or Danes.
The Norwegians and Icelanders show the greatest respect for the memory of Leif Erikson, who established the Vinland settlement and St. Olaf (King Olaf II of Norway) whose sainthood a century ago hastened the adoption of Christianity in Norway.
