The Quarter Mile Market, Kingston
The broad street extending North from the city dock of Kingston is the primary shopping district of all of Nessex. While it is officially named for the King Godwin's common law wife Edith the Fair. It was she who was in charge of the effort to construct the first buildings in Kingston, locals simply call this way the “Quarter Mile Market” or “The Quarter Mile.” The larger, most reputable trade houses each have a place in line in the “Quarter Mile” and often advertise their location by their place in the line that is the market way. The Quarter Mile Market ends a quarter mile north at the King's Square.
