This campaign originated in Gloomwrought, one of the largest cities in the dark, alien Shadowfell. That experience struggling together to survive the maudlin darkness serves as a background for this campaign. Since then, the heroes' adventures have moved on to other planes of existence, but these early adventures still inform their experiences and remains the title of the campaign.

Sometimes known as “The Heroes of the Drowned Quarter”, “The Troublemakers”, or most recently “The Questors” these characters are the heroes at the center of the story.
