Points of Interest
There are several districts of Gotham, many with one or more points of interest.
Amusement Mile
- Allentown Hotel is an architectural marvel
- Drake Hotel is a world-class establishment
- Woman’s Athletic Club - a venue for sports events of all kinds from tennis to boxing
- Ninth Presbyterian Church - membership is a social status symbol more than a religious one
- Henderson's Department Store - has their biggest and most prestigious department store in this district
Arkham Island
- Arkham State Sanitarium for the Criminally Insane home of the criminally insane of Gotham
- Old Arkham Docks–old whaling port area
- Welders Row–light industrial section on Arkham
Blackgate Isle
- Blackgate Prison is home to Gotham's most notorious criminals.
- Statue of Justice–important city landmark
Bludhaven
- Pig Stickers best South Carolina style barbecue in New Jersey
- The Gotham Police air wing launches its two-blimp fleet of airships from this district.
- The Old Sail Factory–huge abandoned building
The Bowery
- Murphy's Lament a notorious and filthy bar, cheap rotgut, no questions.
- Wang's Last Secret a dank, basement level bar, a destination of choice for Chinatown outcasts.
- Eddie's High Life in the Bowery, everyone goes to Eddie's. It's an abandoned warehouse turned into a huge bar, it's always crowded, always noisy, all are welcome, except cops.
- Madam Lily's Tea Room the most famous whorehouse in town, it's huge, cheap and terrible.
- Nine Lives a bar, with a regular “swap meet”
- Quarter a huge flophouse, home to the desperate
- Soul on the Rocks a shelter and soup kitchen of the Salvation Army
Bristol County
- Stately Wayne Manor–ancestral “summer home” of the Wayne Family
- Palace Hotel and Ballroom a vacation spot, right outside Gotham, has a very large capacity theater for live performances.
- Bristol Country Club the spot for golf and tennis for the in-crowd
- Camp Hacker–abandoned army base from first world war.
Chinatown
- The Dragon's Den is a famous restaurant and nightclub in Chinatown, known for its quality Asian cuisine. It is actually a front for the Golden Dragons gang.
- The laundry Ping's Cleaners is a clever money laundering operation run by the Golden Dragons.
- City Wok favorite Chinese restaurant of non-Chinese
Coal District
- Old Coal Arena venue for boxing matches and other sporting events.
- The Arsenal the storage and administrative headquarters for the New Jersey National Guard 5th Battalion.
- Mt Slagmore–an impressive hill of steel-production by-products.
Coventry
- Kane Library–the city's premier library.
- Coventry Catacombs–underground burial area.
- St. Peter's Cathedral seat of Catholic Archbishop
- Temple Shalom Gotham important synagogue
Crest Hill
- The Goose and Also Goose–former colonial tavern, now elegant tea room
- The Old Tower a mysterious relic building
- The Grimsby Building a stodgy apartment building with a closed floor
Crime Alley
- Team C Headquarters secret lair of our heroes, 233 Leaderton Boulevard.
- Sluggo's best bar in Crime Alley.
- The Crime Alley Alleys best bowling alley in town.
- Hotel Guano a favorite of nearly no one.
- Marv's Pawn Shop a front for fencing and loan sharking
- The Toreador–large, if run down, vaudeville and movie house
- Filbert's Shipping a warehouse that's actually a big gambling joint
Diamond District
- Aftagen is a medical technology firm that is well before its time. It produces biotechnical achievements beyond its years in the heart of Gotham.
- Max's Gems is one of the larger jewelers in the Diamond district. It was once the home of safecrackers who honed their skill against a score of safe deposit boxes in Max's basement. The building that Max once owned is now a ruined shell following the fire of 1911.
- Gotham Tower Apartments is the premiere location for upcoming singletons of means who aren't old money.
- Facets Nightclub is a place for new money to meet and mingle in the Diamond District. It is clean and nondescript, a perfect blank canvas for whatever their stepford-wife-like patrons want it to be.
East End
- The East End Mortuary is an East Siders money laundering front as well as the premiere option for gang members who meet their maker.
- Futura Radium Works is an advanced factory processing and using various products containing radium and other radioactives.
- The Orpheum a once great theater, fallen on hard times
- Sisters of Mercy Clinic a small Catholic hospital
- Bucca de Fagaccini one of the city's finest Italian restaurants
- East Gotham Technical College–new institution for technical education
- Columbus Social Club–headquarters of the Moroni family
- Smedley's East–big discount department store
Fashion District
- Gotham Hats–old hat manufacturer
- Myrtle May's!!–popular women's fashion house
- The Grand Haberdasharium–famous men's clothier
- Richards Fashions–volume producer of ordinary clothes
Financial District
- The Brentwood Room where rich men meet rich women, so they can have rich kids.
- Gotham Commodity Exchange important financial marketplace
- Harbor Street main drag of the district
- Wiseport Consulting–a high stakes loan shark.
Gotham Proper
- Gotham General Hospital is the main facility for the ill to receive treatment in Gotham.
- St. Luke's Hospital The other hospital in this district is less of a hospital and more of a disaster waiting to happen. The staff is over worked, underpaid, and all the gang violence ends up at this urban hospital.
- Gotham Central High School is located in the district of Gotham Proper.
- Gotham University is located in the district of Gotham Proper.
- The Falcon Club premier place for proper gentlemen to meet.
- Cuban Pete's fashionable night spot
- The Wayne Building home to Wayne Tech and various bigwigs.
- WGOT studios Gotham's premier radio station.
- The Gotham Gazette–jewel in the Elliot's media empire
- Federal Courthouse a small courthouse for federal trials, has small FBI and Marshal's offices.
Gotham Village
- Jersey Teachers' College, Gotham–Gotham branch of state system
- The New Trotsky Theater–avant-garde venue for live theater
- Saturday Art Swap–traditional open air art market
- Finger Gallery important commercial art gallery
Little Italy
- Opera House one of the premier cultural institutions of the city
- St. Augustine's Church Catholic basilica
- Luigi's Pizza first pizza parlor in Gotham
- New York--Gotham Accounting Services–headquarters for the Falcone Family
Old Gotham
- City Hall–seat of city government
- Police Headquarters–office of commissioner and inspectors as well as the local precinct.
- City Courthouse–city judges, court rooms, D.A. office.
- City Jail–for those awaiting trial,or serving short sentences.
- The Herald Newspaper Building–Gotham's worst paper.
- WHAM studios, one of Gothams best radio stations.
- Wayne Shipping Headquarters–offices send warehouses
- Transworld Shipping Complex–offices and warehouses.
- Cobblepot Towers–brand new development
- St. George's Episcopal Cathedral being rebuilt
- Offices of Universal Rescue–the city's public do-gooders
- Dynasty Antiques–fence and front for All-Americans gang.
Otisburg
- The Daily Tribune Building is a scrappy newspaper challenger to the Elliots.
- O'Brien's Gym–famous boxing gym
- Smedley's North–big discount department store.
- Reston Field–home to the Gotham Badgers baseball team
Robinson Park
- Rat Rock–unsavory “populated” landmark of the park.
- Shabby Town–shanty town for the poor
- The Reservoir–central water supply for the city.
- Robinson Museum–the old mansion, converted to a showcase of local art.
Slaughter Swamp
- The Secret Dojo–legendary fight site
- Grundy's Tomb–legendary haunted spot
- Dr Swampo's Lab–legendary site of horrors
Somerset
- Gotham Airport is located here in Somerset county
- Somerset State Police Post–small state police station.
- Bone Wood Manor–isolated mansion of ill fame
Tricorner
- The Hagshead Lounge is a notorious strip club still does a reasonable business in this district despite the fact that it is ground down with peeling paint and cracking mortar.
- The Silver Princess is a half-finished passenger liner rotting in its slip that is the home for squatters and drunks.
